The Hellenic Institute of Electric Vehicles (HELIEV) actively participated in the 7th Electric Vehicle Conference, featuring two presentations delivered by its President and Vice President.
The President of HELIEV, Mr. Kappatos, presented the latest developments in smart electric vehicle charging technologies, focusing on Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) applications, wireless charging solutions, and the research pilot projects developed by CERTH in Chalki and Ptolemaida. Particular emphasis was placed on the Green Interactive Park of Chalki, an integrated “living laboratory” designed for the demonstration and evaluation of innovative electric mobility technologies, as well as on the development of Greece’s first dynamic wireless electric vehicle charging road in Ptolemaida.
The Vice President of HELIEV, Mr. Vrailas, delivered a presentation entitled “The Next Day of Electric Mobility on the HELLASTRON Greek Motorway Network”, highlighting the crucial role of motorways as key infrastructure for the expansion of electric mobility. The presentation covered the current development of HELLASTRON’s charging network, the challenges that the Greek electric mobility market continues to face, as well as the significant investments required by 2030 for the deployment of high-power charging infrastructure.
HELIEV’s presence at the conference highlighted its active role in promoting electric mobility in Greece. HELIEV will continue to actively participate in initiatives and scientific events that foster knowledge exchange, collaboration, and innovation in the field of electric mobility.
