The vision of HEL.I.EV (Hellenic Institute of Electric Vehicles) focuses on creating a sustainable future for transportation in Greece, with electromobility as a key pillar. The Institute aims to develop an extensive charging infrastructure network and promote clean transport technologies. By improving legislation, fostering innovation, and spreading knowledge, HELIEV seeks to make electromobility accessible and attractive for all. Collaborating with public and private sectors, the Institute supports Greece’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions and achieve European environmental goals, enhancing citizens’ quality of life and the country’s competitiveness in the electric vehicle sector.

The need to switch to electrification has emerged in Greece in recent years, following the global trend to reduce carbon emissions and adopt sustainable transport practices.
The Institute is active in various areas such as research and providing expertise to the government on e-mobility technologies. Through partnerships with universities, research centre’s and private bodies, HEL.I.E.V develops innovative solutions to promote electric mobility in the country.
